Unfortunately I don't know yet because I updated for Xcode 27 + iPhone dev, so having an iPhone plugged in 24/7 is heavily spewing the results towards "much worse".

IBM is more than 100 years old, has defined a huge part of how we think about computers, made plenty of its employees and workers of the wider field rich, has sold many businesses it considered distracting, and is still worth $200B+. Anyone saying "IBM" in the sense of "stagnant failure" is delusional.
Not to mention they are still at the forefront of materials science and industrial design, and just so happen to manufacture bespoke CPU & server platforms that run circles around all the hyperscalers...
The story about that AMD ARM core is that they were making it for Amazon. Performance was not good enough so it was canned. Amazon then went on to make their own chips called Graviton.

I think it's huge for diabetics. It's a mental toll for them. They hate having to constantly prick themselves to take readings. It's awkward, inconvenient and you have to do it multiple times to be sure you got a good reading. And worse of all, it's possible to forget to take a reading when you need to.
I don't understand. All of the diabetics I know personally (one type 1 and two type 2 diabetics) use continuous glucose monitors and have for some time, so they rarely need to prick their fingers anymore. Ketone levels can be checked with a urine test.
There's some difference in the readings of a CGM due to sampling different things (blood with finger sticks vs intercelluar fluid for a CGM) and taking a bunch of vitamin C (pills or in food) can throw the readings off. But I think one or two sticks a day to calibrate the CGM and in situations where readings seem off should be sufficient.
Why? Tahoe hasn’t even reached its first birthday and plenty of us are still on Seqouia not wanting to put up with apple’s disaster release. There’s nothing a terminal needs from Tahoe specifically.
Having people personally go out of the way for a little bit of friction tells you how valuable, and perhaps, serious these people are. I'd rather have that group of people contributing to my projects than fly by night agents that just shit all over the floor and expect treats for doing so.
Contributions aren't just commits/prs. It's also opening issues. The harder it is to provide feedback, the more likely users are going to seek a different library or tool, and depending on the actual objective of releasing or publishing code, that is not ideal.
I do agree on the fly by night agents, especially since so much is actually just agents acting on behalf of folks who just spam whatever permissions are requested in Claude/Codex.
Don't think open submission feedback is worth much anymore, at least not the amount of effort it requires to curate it. Having friction still seems like a great way to get decent feedback nowadays rather than needing to manually curate 100s of issues where 98% of them are spam/garbage.
That's fine if the projects are in a single place (e.g. GitHub) as you only need to create one account.
If every project requires its own username/password just to report a bug, I may do that for the first 2 or 3, but not for every project. I'm also unlikely to create accounts on hosting platforms I don't intend on using outside of reporting the single bug.
That's fine, maybe they don't want casual users like you to be part of their community. There is a reason to prefer group coherence over availability. Availability doesn't actually help the group for most online communities, it's actively a hinderance.
The larger 3.6 35B is actually a mixture of experts (MOE). This means a small proportion of those B's are actually active. It's fast and suitable for agentic tasks but nowhere near good as the dense 27B model, which has all of its parameters loaded.
