Same for Russia.

I've always imaginged that Amazonia is a hive of all types of diseases. I'd rather wonder how did they manage to survive there.

Would be funny if the defending side sent all the info they have to openai, tipping off to attacking models that they were noticed.

The attacking models don't have access to all the data that OpenAI has.

Like, they don't say "hey Sol, here's the password to SamA's bank account."

Well, at least that we know about. We are creeping into the area where certainty is not a given.

Just using an opportunityto promote guys making really great videos about basic physics, focusing on experiments:

Unfortunately, English version are somewhat reduced from Russian, but still.

The most distracting app for me is Telegram with numerous channels, which I find myself doomscrolling too often, and at the same with numerous crucial personal contracts.

Really sad modern phones don't allow to set app's budget for custom interval, like 5 minutes in an hour.

I've ditched all Telegram channels and only kept a few I'm quite fond of (they post rarely anyway)

You could try ScreenZen or a similar app that help control nd reduce the time you spend on certain apps.

Nowadays, you can such apps in a few prompts and some minor tweaks :)

Thanks. Honestly, I am somewhat concerned with all those 3rd party apps obtaining some control of my phone. Personally, would be so much nicer to have the same service provided by system. Vibecoding one is really an option.

I would guess they mean hiit can traumatize e.g. joints or cardiovascular system, especially for the elderly.

Most people don't understand how important, even vital, proper rest is. Injuries are almost always the result of overuse and/or insufficient rest.

HIIT itself is not dangerous, or even bad for you, if you spend the time to learn about it and how to incorporate into your life safely. If you're out of shape, and don't train regularly, go out and try HIIT you're going to have a bad time.

Could you provide some resources for learning?

yeah this is what I meant - as we get older we're supposed to move slower, and spend more time working on mobility and strength (moderate strength building, walking, and other movements like taichi and equivalent)

First thing coming into mind is the number of companies and individuals blocking Russians in the beginning of the war before any sanctions out of virtue signalling.

Virtue signaling that consist of blocking Russia is double virtue. You do the good thing and you motivate others to do the good thing too.

We need more of that.

I felt that quite badly at the start of that war, multiple accounts closed, including my brokerage account, bank account rejected, and a flood of emails asking me to divulge loads of documentation to get them to consider giving them back to me!

I don't actually live in Russia, if I did, it would be even worse.

Yep, Xero published a blog post outlining their stance on Russia and outlining their sanctions (it was literally less than a handful of accounts for them):

But they didn't do anything for Israel. Actually, at the height of the genocide, they decided to invest in an Israeli company.

slow claps

It is sad they are afraid to mention on the page that "data processing for a web analytics system ... similar to Google Analytics" was actually something used in Yandex.

Elsewhere on the page, they avoid mentioning Yandex. In fact, do they ever mention Yandex?

That’s probably not to advertise for that company. I don’t see why it’s sad?

Or could it be because hecklers might call them "un-American" if they did list Yandex? The two aren't the same.

Out of curiosity, can that model be trained from the beginning without touching "sensitive" areas and remain useful in others? Will it be able to help in building biological weapons without being trained on articles and books about biology/ medicine?

Just for context, it looks very much the same as Fast Payment System in Russia. Been a thing for some 10 years, and huge amount of retail works on it.
