I like solar panels and windmills because they bring a lot of freedom from oil, an unstable and sometimes scarce commodity, even if the solar and turbines are purchased from China.

The main difference is Logo has fixed arity and so doesn't need parens. Lisp has variable arity and so needs parens.

So in Lisp you can say:

> (+ 1 2 3)

and it will add all the numbers together. In Logo, you have to say:

> 1 + 2 + 3

I have a list of about 32 8-bit Logo implementations and the earliest is 1981 (Krell's and Terrapin on the Apple II). The latest is 1986 (Logotron on the BBC Micro). There were also 16-bit versions for DOS. After that there were other 16-bit implementations like Amiga Logo. Before that I think it was on mini-computers.

Scratch is essentially Logo with draggable blocks instead of typing.

Well, Scratch essentially is Logo, but with dragging bricks instead of typing.
